BallsportARENA
The BallsportARENA in Dresden is a modern sports and event venue, renowned for its advanced facilities and contemporary architectural style. It hosts 3-on-3 Basketball for the World Transplant Games 2025.
Heinz-Steyer-Stadium
The heart of the track and field competitions at the World Transplant Games 2025 is the newly rebuilt Heinz-Steyer-Stadium, located in the heart of the Sportpark Ostra. The stadium officially reopened on August 30, 2024. It will not only host the track and field events on August 23 and 24, but also serve as the venue for squash competitions. Inside the main stand, you’ll find newly constructed squash courts for the WTG 2025 matches.
JOYNEXT Arena
Three key sports of the World Transplant Games 2025—Volleyball, Badminton and Table Tennis—will take place in the state-of-the-art JOYNEXT Arena. Located in the heart of the Sportpark Ostra, the JOYNEXT Arena is a modern three-part hall that offers an ideal venue for high-level competition.

Swimming Facility Freiberger Platz
The Swimming Facility Freiberger Platz will serve as the main venue for the swimming competitions at the World Transplant Games 2025, taking place over two exciting days. The complex features two 50m long indoor pools, providing the perfect environment for athletes to compete at their best. Spectators can look forward to an engaging experience with comfortable seating and excellent views of the competitions.

Sportpark Ostra
The Sportpark Ostra will be the central place during the World Transplant Games 2025. 9 out of the 17 sports will take place here. It has some of the most modern venues like the Heinz-Steyer-Stadium, the BallsportArena and the JOYNEXTArena aswell as multiple large sports fields for the Football and Archery competitions.

Golf Course Dresden Ullersdorf
The Golf Course Dresden Ullersdorf is a scenic 18-hole course located just outside Dresden. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. Pétanque Field Bodenbacher Straße
The Pétanque Field at Bodenbacher Straße, situated near the Margon Arena in Dresden, consists of a well-maintained gravel court which will host the Petanque Singles and Petanque Pairs competitions for the World Transplant Games 2025. There will be up to 120 Petanque fields build.

Brettmühlenteich Thiendorf
The Brettmühlenteich in Thiendorf is a scenic lake located approximately 22 kilometers north of Dresden. Surrounded by peaceful nature, it provides the perfect setting for outdoor sports and competitions. For WTG2025, the lake will serve as the venue for both the Sprint Triathlon and Cycling events.
The site is well-prepared for such competitions: a local sports club hosts an annual triathlon at Brettmühlenteich, ensuring professional infrastructure and smooth organisation.
Tennis Facility Waldpark
The Tennis Facility Waldpark, home of BW Blau-Weiß Blasewitz-Dresden e.V., is one of Germany’s most beautiful tennis venues. Nestled in lush greenery in the heart of Dresden, it offers a tranquil yet competitive setting for players and visitors alike.
As the official venue for both Tennis Singles and Doubles at WTG2025, the Waldpark provides top-tier conditions for high-level play. The facility features 16 well-maintained clay courts and regularly hosts matches from Germany’s premier tennis league, ensuring professional standards throughout.

As the official venue for Bowling Singles, Bowling Pairs, and the Baker Bowling Event at WTG2025, PLAY Bowling provides the perfect setting for exciting and professional-level competitions. With its state-of-the-art equipment, spacious layout, and central location, it ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for athletes and spectators alike.

Great Garden of Dresden
The “Großer Garten” is Dresden’s largest and most iconic city park – a green oasis right in the heart of the city. With its wide paths, historic landscape design, and peaceful atmosphere, it offers an ideal setting for both recreational and competitive running events.
As part of WTG2025, the Großer Garten will host two major running events: the Public Organ Donation Run on August 17, and the official 5K Run on August 18. Its flat, well-maintained routes and central location make it perfectly suited for runners of all levels, while offering spectators a scenic and accessible venue.
