Organizing Team visits Winter Games in Bormio

Bormio - Visit at 1125 meters. The organizing team of City Sport Marketing visited the 12th World Transplant Winter Games in Bormio.

This small Italian province hosted the six-day winter games. About 300 participants competed in various sports for medal positions, including curling, alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, giant slalom, and cross-country skiing. “All in all, it was a very familial yet successful event. We were able to make many contacts and had good conversations,” says Kristine Böhm, Event Manager at CitySportMarketing GmbH. On-site, they gained exciting insights into the event processes. These experiences are very important for organizing the upcoming World Transplant Games 2025 in Dresden. “This way, we simply get a better feel for our event.”

The World Transplant Winter Games were held for the second time in Bormio. For this small Alpine town, it certainly won’t be the last sporting appearance. Bormio is one of the venues for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
