The World Transplant Games Federation has officially finalized the Sports Rules for the World Transplant Games 2025 in Dresden. These comprehensive guidelines cover all key aspects, from scoring procedures in each sport to equipment requirements, ensuring a framework for successful and fair competitions.

Compared to the Sports Rules of WTG2023 in Perth, several updates have been introduced:

  • Team Sports Exception: Team sports no longer count toward the maximum of five events per athlete. Participants can now compete in up to five individual events plus team sports.
  • Archery Rules Update: A dedicated archery rulebook has been developed, closely resembling the regulations used during WTG2019 in Newcastle.
  • Expanded Eligibility: Allogenic and autologous bone marrow recipients are now eligible to participate in the Games.
  • New Donor Events: Additional donor-specific competitions have been introduced.
  • Family Member Participation: Family members of living donors are now allowed to join selected events.

The Sports Rules set the stage for a memorable and inclusive competition in Dresden. Find the complete rulebook here for download.
