Get ready to experience the World Transplant Games 2025 like never before! This year, we’re introducing a game-changing update to the competition rules: team sports and relay events will now be considered additional competitions, separate from the five-individual-entries limit. This means you can dive into Volleyball, Six-a-Side Football, 3x3 Basketball, and more without missing out on your individual events.

What’s new?

In Dresden, you’ll have the chance to join exciting team sports like:

  • 3×3 Basketball: A fast-paced, dynamic game with a 24-second shot clock, as seen at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
  • Volleyball: Compete under a unified net height of 2.35m, creating thrilling and exciting matches.
  • Six-a-side Football: Build strategies and showcase teamwork in this beloved sport.

Additionally, relay events in Swimming and Track & Field, as well as the Ten Pin Bowling Baker Event, will now be open to all athletes at registration as extra opportunities to compete.

Why participate?

Team sports foster a sense of unity, provide thrilling competition, and allow athletes to bond over shared goals. It’s not just about winning—it’s about making memories, building connections, and embracing the collaborative spirit of the Games.

How to prepare?

Review your schedule to ensure you can make time for these exciting new opportunities. Whether it’s forming a team or joining one already in place, now is the perfect time to prepare for a week full of diverse and memorable events in Dresden.
