The World Transplant Games 2025 are committed to the effective protection of children. They are the most vulnerable group among the participants. Parents have agreed to the participation of their children and thereby entrusted us with their wellbeing and safety during the games. Their mental and physical health and safety are at the core of the commitment of the Dresden Team.

Facilities: All sports venues must comply with local provisions regarding child injuring prevention.

The policy not only includes sports competition sessions but also training sessions and side events and every activity at the games hub.

Children can be confident to address all team members and volunteers with their concerns at any given time and without hesitation. The team has been extensively briefed that both children’s actual needs and the constant anticipatory evaluation of potential risks associated with children’s participation at all events are always a top priority over every other task. Children’s safety is a priority before sports performance in every competition. Child protection is a designated agenda item in the referees’ briefing and will be included in the daily volunteer briefing.

At the games hub there will be a designated area for children, where children material to play, to engage in sports activities, and to spend a joyful and relaxed time together. It is important, that the kids’ area is a recognizably good and safe place to be for all participating and visiting children.
